follow the rules as stipulated below.<\/span><\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><ol><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">We do not tolerate<\/span><b> harassment<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> of anyone and in any form.\u00a0<\/span><\/li><\/ol><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Harassment includes offensive (non)verbal behaviour related to:<\/span><\/p><ul><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">gender identity<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">age<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">sexual orientation<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">(dis)ability<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">physical appearance<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">skin color, religion<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">ethnicity<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">culture\u00a0<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">any other expression of a person\u2019s identity or background<\/span><\/li><\/ul><p>\u00a0<\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">2. We do not tolerate <\/span><b>unwelcome behavior<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">:<\/span><\/p><ul><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">intimidation<\/span><\/li><\/ul><ul><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">stalking or deliberate following<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">harassing photography or recording<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">unwanted sexual images in public spaces or through other channels<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">sustained disruptions in workshops<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">inappropriate physical contact<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">unwanted (sexual) attention<\/span><\/li><\/ul><p>\u00a0<\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">If someone engages in any harassing behaviour, the event organisers may take any action they deem appropriate, including warning the offender or expulsion from the event with no refund. If necessary we will inform authorities.<\/span><\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">If you are being harassed, if you notice that someone else is being harassed, or if you have any other concerns, please contact a member of staff immediately, in person, via phone or email. You can also leave an anonymous comment in the evaluation form.<\/span><\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In case we have a safe(r) space team, these people will be able to help you during or after the event. They are designated crew members who received a training and will always listen and assist those experiencing or witnessing harassment to feel safe(r) during our event, provide escort and support and help with notifying the authorities. We value your attendance and your safety.<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-5de58a4 exad-sticky-section-no exad-glass-effect-no elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"5de58a4\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<h2 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">Good practices<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-5836873 exad-sticky-section-no exad-glass-effect-no elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"5836873\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Here are some good practices that will hopefully ensure everybody\u2019s comfort and wellbeing during our event.<\/span><\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">We believe we all create the atmosphere, the vibe and the community we like to spend time in to dance and socialize. The way <\/span><b>you hold space<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> influences how the space will be shaped. If you want to appreciate a specific behaviour at the event, act as its first example.<\/span><\/p><ul><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Act inclusively and nicely to everyone.<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Respect people around you and yourself.<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Remember that boundaries may differ from one person to another. Set good intentions and be clear in communication. If you aren\u2019t sure about something, ask. If something doesn\u2019t feel right \u2013 speak up. Our staff will be available in case you need support.<\/span><\/li><\/ul><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p><p><b>Suggestions for common challenges on the dance floor and at events<\/b><\/p><ul><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Connect with partners the way it feels comfortable for both of you. If your partner uses a hurtful or inappropriate connection consistently, please let them know, they may not be aware of it.<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Ask for people\u2019s pronouns if you don\u2019t know how to address them.<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Ask people if they want to follow, lead or switch. Share upfront what you prefer.<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Avoid giving unsolicited feedback. Do not correct others dancing unless you were specifically asked to do so.<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Mind people around you. Accidentally kicked someone on the dancefloor? Apologize and check if they are ok. Avoid aerials or flash moves in social dancing, keep them for jams, shows and competitions.<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">You unintentionally touched someone\u2019s private areas? Apologize. If someone is repeatedly inappropriately touching you, bring it to their attention or the attention of our staff.<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Be mindful when drinking alcohol or using other substances. If you are not sober and therefore pose a risk to yourself or others, leave the dance floor and ask for support.<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Want to dance with someone? Take initiative and invite them politely. Be mindful to take initiative to invite those who could benefit from your proactivity.<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Everybody has the right to say no to a dance, without need to justify it. If you say no, do it politely. If someone refuses to dance with you, don\u2019t take it personally as there are lots of possible reasons.
